Privacy policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

At Forclus we treat personal data with the same care we put into our products: we collect only what we need, use it for what we tell you, and never sell it. This policy explains what data we process when you visit this website or get in touch with us.

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Forclus Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13694601, with its registered office at Office 3846, 182-184 High Street North, London, E6 2JA, United Kingdom.

Forclus Ltd is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZB286200.

For any question about this policy or your personal data, you can contact us at legal@forclus.net.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Forclus website and the forms on it (contact and waitlist). When you use one of our products, such as DirectWise, that product's own terms and privacy policy also apply.

3. What data we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email and the content of your message.
  • Waitlist and early access: your email.
  • Technical data: IP address and basic request data, used temporarily to protect our forms from abuse and keep the service secure.
  • Cookies: we don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We may only use a technical cookie to remember your chosen language, which does not require consent.

4. Why we use it and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your enquiries and, where relevant, preparing a proposal or demo: legitimate interest and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Letting you know when access to our products opens: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Protecting the website and preventing bulk or fraudulent form submissions: legitimate interest.
  • We don't make automated decisions that affect you or build profiles, and we don't sell or share your data for marketing purposes.

5. How long we keep it

  • Contact enquiries: for the duration of the conversation and up to 24 months after the last contact.
  • Waitlist: until we give you access or you ask to be removed, and for a maximum of 24 months.
  • Technical anti-abuse data: only for minutes or hours.
  • After these periods data is deleted or anonymised, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it longer.

6. Who we share it with

We only share data with providers who help us run the service and who act on our instructions as data processors: email providers to send and receive messages, cloud infrastructure providers that run the website, and internal team communication tools used to handle requests. All of them are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.

We may also disclose data to authorities where the law requires us to.

7. International transfers

Forclus Ltd is established in the United Kingdom, which benefits from an EU adequacy decision. Some of our providers may process data outside the UK or the European Economic Area; in those cases we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

8. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its processing, request its portability and withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, email us at legal@forclus.net; we'll reply within one month at the latest.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you live in the EU, with your local data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD at aepd.es).

9. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risk: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access restricted to the team members who need it, data minimisation and automatic limits against abusive submissions.

10. Children

This website is not aimed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal changes or changes to our services. The current version will always be published on this page with its update date.
